New Theraposture expand Orbit Rotating Bed range plus on-stand CPD education at the OT Show

Theraposture at the OT Show 2025

Theraposture, the respected specialist in Rotating Beds, has successfully launched 2 new Orbit models and delivered popular CPD education at the 2025 OT Show.

The Occupational Therapy Show, 26-27 November, NEC, stand H36.

The Theraposture stand experienced high footfall as Occupational Therapists came to discover the latest in Rotating Bed innovation and compliance. For the first time in the UK, they were able to see the new Orbit 335 HD and Orbit 235X Divan alongside the existing Orbit 235. These two new Orbit models build on the success and DNA of the current Orbit 235 forming a Rotating Bed range that caters for users with heights from 4’10” to 6’6” weighing up to (300kg) 47 stones.

The Orbit Rotating Bed is hugely popular with Equipment Services, because of its unique ability to be programmed and configured for each user, catering for a wide range of heights and shapes, making it easy to reissue. The Orbit 235 is revolutionising care, interdependence and is enabling independence, allowing users to get in and out of bed on their own terms.

There are no other rotating beds in the world that offer so much flexibility, reusability, strength and ability, and degree of reversable personalisation.

The Orbit 335HD is the strongest rotating bed on the market. With a maximum user weight of up to 300kg (47st) and tested to lift 770kg, it is a reliable and accomplished bed transfer solution for plus size users. The new Orbit 235X is the new divan version of the Orbit 235 and is available as either a single or within a Double Combination so that couples can remain together in the same bed. The Orbit 235X gives the added advantage of clients being able to choose how their bed looks.

The new Orbits generated high levels of interest from delegates which was increased further by Theraposture's on stand educational CPD sessions. Maarten Middelkoop, Clinical Director of Compliance for Medical Devices, and Liam Braddell, Theraposture Managing Director, jointly presented a fascinating insight into Medical Device compliance and effective product development. They demonstrated how design must achieve practical effectiveness, compliance with standards, affordability, and adaptability to help Equipment Services with reissuing. Attendee levels were high as these express seminars highlighted how the Orbit Rotating Bed range has been developed to ensure compliance with BSEN60601-2-52.
